Narrowleaf evening primrose is a North American native.

Identification: Plants are 18-30" (45-76 cm) tall, a loose cluster of stems. Leaves are lance-shaped along the stem, 1-4" (2.5-10 cm) long. Leaves at the base of the plant are more spatula-shaped. Bright yellow flowers have four petals and are up to 2" (5 cm) in diameter. They appear from June to August.
