This hibiscus cultivar is not found in the wild in North America. Their large, beautiful
flowers are favorites with gardeners. As you can see, I can't stop taking photos of it.
Identification: Plants reach 4-5′ (1.2-1.5 m) in height, and about
2-4′ (60-121 cm) around. Stems may be green, red, or woody. Leaves are roughly oval, narrow, or split into several lobes;
they may be even on the edges, or toothed.
Trumpet-shaped brilliant red blooms, with five or more petals, 6-10″ (15-25 cm) in diameter, opening in late summer.
Flowers have numerous stamens that form a single, long tube at the center.
